The most impressive feature of the Air Tool Comp is its ergonomics. Specialized have really gone to town to make this pump super comfortable to use with its winged handle, low profile, wobble-free base and contoured head.
The head itself is big compared to other pumps but that is in the name of comfort. It is also has a grippy texture moulded into it which is a nice addition. The locking lever is big and ergonomically moulded as well which makes using it super easy.
Like many other pumps, the head uses a valve auto-selecting feature but unlike others, this one works reliably. Specialized has designed this pump to deliver cc of air per stroke which makes it more suitable for narrower tyres but the brand promises it to be a versatile option, great if you ride gravel or road as well as mountain. Performance Comparison This pump is accurate and very easy to use. It works great, but it is big. That locking lever can be sticky, and it snaps back harshly. The pump's flaring handle is quite comfortable.
